Forgot your Screen Time passcode? How to reset it
Apple lets you reset the Screen Time code with your Apple Account password, so you do not need to erase the iPhone.
The fix
On your own iPhone

Open Settings › Screen Time.

Tap Change Screen Time Passcode twice.

Tap Forgot Passcode.
- 4
Sign in with your Apple Account and set a new code.
The fix
For a child’s iPhone

On the parent’s iPhone, open Settings › Screen Time.

Tap the child’s name.
- 3
Tap Change Screen Time Passcode and enter a new one.
Frequently asked questions
It says a different Apple Account set the code. What now?
Only that account can reset it. If no one knows it, back up and erase the iPhone, then set it up again.
Is the Screen Time passcode the same as my iPhone passcode?
No. It is a separate 4 digit code. Pick a different one from your lock screen code.
