How to turn off Screen Time on iPhone (even without the passcode)
You need the Screen Time passcode, or the Apple Account that set it, to switch Screen Time off.
The fix
On your own iPhone

Open Settings › Screen Time.

Scroll down and tap Turn Off App & Website Activity.

Enter the Screen Time passcode and confirm.
The fix
If you forgot the passcode

Open Settings › Screen Time › Change Screen Time Passcode.

Tap Forgot Passcode.

Enter the Apple Account email and password used to set it.
- 4
Set a new code, then turn Screen Time off.

For a child’s iPhone

On your iPhone, open Settings › Screen Time.

Tap the child’s name under Family.

Tap Turn Off App & Website Activity.
Frequently asked questions
Why won’t Screen Time turn off?
The phone is managed by a parent through Family Sharing, or a work profile controls it. Only the organizer or IT admin can turn it off.
Can I keep reports but remove limits?
Yes. Turn off Downtime and App Limits one by one instead of turning off Screen Time.
