iPad stuck on the Apple logo? How to fix it without losing data
Like an iPhone, an iPad stuck on the logo can usually be fixed with a computer while keeping your data.
The fix

Wait up to an hour if it was updating, on the charger.

Force restart for your model (see above).

Use recovery mode and choose Update.
Connect to a Mac or a PC with the Apple Devices app, hold the buttons until the computer and cable screen appears, then choose Update.

How long should I wait on the Apple logo?
During an update, the logo and progress bar can stay for up to an hour. If the bar has not moved in an hour, it is stuck.
Will recovery mode erase my iPad?
Not if you choose Update. Only Restore erases it.
