Samsung stuck on logo? 6 fixes for a Galaxy boot loop
A failed update, a bad app or a flat battery can leave a Galaxy stuck on the Samsung screen. Most fixes keep your data.
The fix
6 fixes, in order

Force restart.
Hold Side and Volume Down together for about 10 seconds.

Charge it for 30 minutes with a Samsung charger.

Boot into safe mode.
Turn it on and hold Volume Down when the Samsung logo shows. If it starts, uninstall recent apps.

Open recovery mode.
Turn it off, connect a USB cable, then hold Side and Volume Up until the recovery menu appears.

Choose Wipe cache partition, then Reboot system now.

If it still loops, choose Wipe data/factory reset.
This erases the phone.
Frequently asked questions
Does wiping the cache partition delete my data?
No. It only clears temporary system files. Your photos, apps and messages stay.
Why does recovery mode not open?
Newer Galaxy phones need a USB cable connected to a computer or charger while you hold Power and Volume Up.
