How to turn off Emergency SOS on iPhone (stop accidental calls)
Emergency SOS can be triggered by holding or clicking the side button. Turning off those shortcuts stops pocket calls.

Turn off the SOS shortcuts

Open Settings › Emergency SOS.

Turn off Call with Hold and Release.

Turn off Call with 5 Button Presses.

Turn off Call After Severe Crash if you want.

Can I still call 911 after turning these off?
Yes. Hold the side and a volume button, then drag the Emergency Call slider, or dial 911 as normal.
What if my iPhone starts an SOS call by accident?
Tap Stop, then confirm. If a call connects, stay on and tell the dispatcher it was an accident.
