How to forward calls on iPhone (Settings or carrier codes)
Most carriers let you forward calls straight from iPhone settings. On Verizon and some others, a short dial code does it instead.
The fix
In Settings (AT&T, T-Mobile and most carriers)

Open Settings › Apps › Phone.

Tap Call Forwarding and turn it on.

Tap Forward To and enter the number.

Go back. A forwarding icon appears in the status bar.
The fix
With a dial code (Verizon and others)

Open the keypad.
- 2
Dial *72 and then the 10 digit number, for example *725551234567.

Tap Call and wait for the confirmation tone.

To stop, dial *73 and tap Call.
Forward only some calls
On AT&T and T-Mobile, you can forward only unanswered calls with **61*number#, busy calls with **67*number# and calls when the phone is off with **62*number#. Verizon uses *71 plus the number for busy and unanswered calls.

Why is Call Forwarding missing in my iPhone settings?
Some carriers, including Verizon, manage forwarding on their side. Use the dial code or the carrier’s app instead.
Does forwarding cost extra?
Usually not on unlimited US plans, but some prepaid plans charge minutes for forwarded calls. Check with your carrier.
